Furniture and Homegoods
At the Minneapolis College of Art and Design I was introduced to and explored the rigorous process of developing furniture and home goods. I was taught to use ethnographic research, intensive prototyping and market research to inform my designs, not only look good, but to solve a problem. Design based around the human body may change dozens of times as user feedback provides pain points, illuminates the misuse of products, or how the user may engage with the piece both physically and mentally. By attending an institute of the Art's we focus on objects acting as a thing of beauty at rest, while solving the use case effectively.
